Checking the June account statement

This year has been hard on the stock market and the nerves of investors. In fact, the S&P 500 index is down about 12 percent since January 1st. Most of the people I talk to do a good job sticking to their long-term investment strategy, but big drops on the monthly account statement can be unnerving. Unfortunately for many people, June is going to be one of those tough-to-look-at statements. That's why I decided to devote both my segments tonight to helping investors put the June account statement in perspective.
